Description
Today ended several days of cold wintry weather. Yesterday we got about 3/4 inch of freezing rain which coated all the trees and everything else. Today when the temperature rose just above freezing, the ice began falling off the trees, creating a tremendous racket in the neighborhood.
The ice makes a kind of hollow thud as it hits the ice-covered snow.
