Description
I'm staying in a loft in Malibu and there are windows on opposing sides; when both windows are open (and the conditions are right), it creates a fairly perfect wind gusting ambiance in a rather dead environment.
Captured with an H3-VR using the AmbiX setting, which encodes 6 channels of audio but only records the R,L,SR, and SL so the Center and LFE channels are empty. I added a bit of compression to bring out of some of the nuance and boosted below 60hz to even out the frequency spectrum a bit.
Think of this as white noise with infinite variation and a great layer to supplement. The parts of the waveform where there is a little more action are fun wind gusts with a bit more energy in the low and midrange.
