Description
Puerto-Princesa underground river.
I made this recording in the Puerto-Princesa Subterranean River national Park, located in Palawan island, Philippines. Here is one of the most impressive and beautiful underground river all over the world, approved as World Heritage site by UNESCO.
So, here, we are in one of these wooden boats bringing tourists through this wonderful karst cave. One can hear water drops falling down from the wall, noise from the bamboo stick used to push the boat, voices and whistle of tourists and guides in other boats, bubbles, bats, and from time to time, the sound of someone using a camera just near me.
Recorded in February 2018 with an Olympus LS-3 (internal microphones, TRESMIC system on).
Fade in/out and high pass filter at 160Hz -6dB/oct applied in audacity.
