Chorus of Cicadas and loud motorboat.
I recorded this file at about 5:25AM, from the terrace of a house located at Santa Monica Heights, which is a costal residential area near Calapan city (oriental Mindoro, Philippines).
However, this dawn recording has been quite unusual. Even if there was some down chorus from local birds, please pay attention to the strange atmosphere created by the cicadas starting to sing while the noise of a very loud motorboat (fast ferry) increases gradually !
At #2:51, the bell of the nearby church started ringing, adding even more flavour to this recording.
Recorded in August 2025 with a Zoom H6essential (built-in XY microphones).
Fade in/out applied in Audacity.
