Description
Stereo field recording of the interior of an Airbus A330 during landing at Berlin Schönefeld on a flight from London Gatwick. The recorder is a Zoom H2 located in the stowage net of the right side aisle seat two rows behind the wing exits. Prominent engine whine and hydraulic noises, A group of british youths can be heard softly chatting in the midrange. At 37 seconds, the deceleration flaps come out, the hydraulic action can be clearly heard. At 1:09 the landing gear is engaged, and at 1:50 the flaps fold out to landing position. The plane touches down on the runway at 4:05 and at 4:52 the crew chief does the usual welcome thing via intercom first in English, then in German.
