Description
This is a piece I can see used behind a video credit roll, a game menu, or maybe six other things. You decide what to do with it. There is plenty of room over the top to record your tracks or effects or whatever makes you happy. As with many of my works, it has a feeling of persistence against opposing forces. Of times when we need to forge ahead, damn the torpedoes.
Starting with a mellow percussion intro, a low D bass synth bass line kicks in a triplet feel. Quick staccato strings move in, adding a sense of tension. A deep bass drone builds to support the synth. Drums keep a somewhat indiscriminate rhythm going throughout. A simple, 80's style synth melody appears and ushers in the surge of a reverse gong and the apex of the piece. Emerging from the sonic wave, the staccatos carry on regardless. Another gong (off-key & manipulated) brings an uneasiness with it, as the piece fades away, leaving you to wonder what the outcome was.
I continue to work this and on other pieces, and MGS-produced versions of them will be put up on MGSTUDIO.ORG (free, w/donations appreciated) along with other works I have in-process that will not be posted here, but be available commercially. Of course, you may use this as you see fit.
Unlike most of the sounds and rhythm tracks I've posted here, I've flagged this one as Attribution 4.0, so please read the info on this type of license if you're not familiar. Otherwise, have fun with it!
P.S.
If you prefer a different format of any of my tracks, message me and I will post it for you.
