Description
This sound was recorded using 3 different microphones:
- Channel 01 (70% left) : Røde NTG2 (condenser shotgun microphone) 2 meters in front of the truck.
- Channel 02 (70% right) : a studio project condenser microphone C-4, near the exhaust pipe tip.
- Channel 03 (centered) : a Beyer Dynamic M88TG dynamic microphone inside the cab.
This was recorded on an Edirol R-44 digital recorder (48kHz, 24bits) & edited on Reaper (small EQ with low-cut & comp) rendered at the same bitrate & frequency.
The truck we used for the recording is our 1974 Magirus-Deutz Motorhome (F232D16A) with a Deutz engine (F8L413) : it's a V8, 12.8L.
You have the engine start, a little gas, a 1'30 minute of motor rumble and engine stop (with the pneumatic brake on).
If you're interested in separate tracks, don't hesitate to ask.
